About Me
Hi, my name is Anna. I am a front-end web developer. I specialize in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, WordPress, and I am constantly learning new skills. I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband Chris and our cat Simba.
Before I learned to program I worked as a designer, video editor, accounting/administrative assistant, and retail manager. I enjoyed it all! I've always been tech-savvy though, and I intended to become a developer.
Outside of work I love going on road trips, hiking, cycling, and spending time with my friends and family. My interests include the environment, art, literature, architecture, and CATS!
Skills
Design Conversion
My focus is writing clean, well-formatted HTML5 and CSS(Sass) to make sure the content is easy to read, easy to collaborate and build on. I have experience collaborating on a project using Git and GitHub.
App Building
I have a basic knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and some Ruby. I understand that I will be learning new tricks and new extensions constantly and I am excited about it. At the moment I’m taking a course in Computer Science theory.
WordPress
You can trust me to make a WordPress website fast! I use Advanced Custom Fields and child themes (PHP) to customize content and design. I have experience building e-commerce sites with WooCommerce.

Created a WordPress site with a blog section. Child theme development, custom posts and pages creation using Advanced Custom Fields and PHP. Plugin integration.
LUXE Resorts - PSD Conversion
HTML, CSS, Sass, Responsive Design
Built a site from scratch using HTML5, CSS3, Sass, npm, and Json, used Grid layout system, SVG icons.
LOLCat Clock
JavaScript, jQuery.
A fun app about cat activities. DOM, events, and event listeners.
